Kathy's Biography
Kathy spent many years singing in her local church and
special events that other churches would sponsor. She
directed a children’s choir for many years and still has a heart for helping young children to seek their desire to sing.
In the summer of 1999, Kathy released her first recorded album "I Give You Jesus". This project was released with a Concert in September 1999 with 400 in attendance and an Encore Release Concert in November 1999. Kathy has since performed many Christian Concerts annually opening for artists such as Jeff & Sherrie Easter (of the Gaithers) and The Steeles. Kathy has also shared the stage with artists: The Hoskins, The Lesters, and The McGruders. In April 2001, Kathy was nominated for Female vocalist of the Year for the Branson Gospel Music Assoc. and received first runner up. In September 2004, Kathy was nominated for Female Vocalist for the Branson Gospel Singer/ Songerwriter Assoc. and received first runner up. This association is affiliated with the Gaither Management Group managed by D.K. & Sherrie Brewster.
In 2007, Kathy was nominated and received the award for International Female "New Artist" of the year with the Country Gospel Music Associaiton (CGMA). (www.countrygospelmusic.com) This award was a huge "spiritual promotion" in her ministry. This title has opened many new doors for her ministry to continue.
Kathy has recorded 4 albums just releasing a new one in October 2005 called "Hymns & Friends". This is a collection of old time hymns with a children's medley of songs that were dear to her as a "bus kid" in her younger years. Several close friends has also joined Kathy on this album. Look for Volume 2 to come out in the late spring.
Her heart is drawn to share what God has done for her in her life through many valleys and trials that you could relate to. Kathy’s testimony is wonderfully described through the scriptures found in Psalms 40: 1-3. She is a new creation in Christ, sharing the precious Word of God!!
She doesn’t hesitate to let everyone know that God is the one who has made all of this possible. God receives all the Glory and recognition. Uplifting, warm, joyful and moved are just some of the emotions you will experience when Kathy shares from her heart, God’s Word through song, along with her wonderful testimony.
